I gave my heart and life to the Lord in the fourth grade.  That started a friendship that would shape and mold my everyday.  I walk with Him daily, because who am I that I should navigate this life on my own!  He has taken me on quite a journey.  Although at times I have run ahead to pursue my own wishes, He never left me, just patiently waited for me to return to Him.  I have learned many lessons along the way, and I use them to hopefully help others as they learn more about our Mighty God!

After years of performing, I felt called to hold free concerts for churches who are looking for something different or don't have the funds to have a concert in their church.  I have been blessed over and over, and have met many wonderful people who are excited to see change in their church and community.

I am fortunate to have a few amazing musicians travel with me from time to time.

Barb Hall is not only a wonderful vocalist, but she taught me my first chords on guitar.  More importantly she has helped me become the woman, wife and mother God has called me to be!

Tom Hall plays a mean harmonica, along with a great voice.  Three part harmony is only so because of him.  More so, he has shown me what it means to be a man of God and a caring, loving father!

Paul Cole came out of the blue, I'm sure not by accident.  He has been a welcome addition with his wonderful percussion and love for the Lord!

The new Cd, A Closer Walk, came after a long, much needed break.  I had been performing steadily since I was 20, and it was time to focus on being a wife and mother. My husband Ken had always been supportive of my decisions and he knew after a few years, I needed to start recording and performing once again.

The common thread running through this Cd is relationships.  Not just the personal relationship with my Heavenly Father, but with those who have touched my life in a mighty way.  The song Shine was written about my teacher from elementary school.  Mrs. Guthrie was so warm, caring and compassionate.  When I heard she had passed away from cancer, I was moved to write the words for that song.  My sons, Nate and Noah are a source of inspiration daily and the song Precious To Me was for them!  I decided to take some of my favorite old hymns and put my own spin on them.  What A Friend I Have In Jesus took on a whole new meaning when I sang it in first person. And the quiet of Amazing Grace was a peace I needed with two babies to care for and love.

I feel so blessed to be able to travel to new places and share some of what God has shown me over the years.  I look forward to the journey that is in store and all the people I will meet along the way!

God Bless,
Kimberly

"For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the Lord" plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call upon Me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart.
